[2003.09.06] A place to "showcase" things from insignificant doodles to multi-day wasteaways. Images come from a variety of sources that aren't localized to a dedicated page: photos, 3D renderings, sketches, inkings, etc. Newest stuff is at the top.

Big Big.
This is Big. He likes words. His site is called "Big's Words." It was a fast drawing and another chance for practicing the same technique I used in the previous two illustrations.

Covert Operative Covert Operative.
Utilizes extensive feedback from "Spec Ops Soldier." Also realized 3/4 in that I should apply my two tone shading before the base ink. Otherwise, turned out very well for about four hours of work, IMO.

Spec Ops Soldier Spec Ops Soldier.
About five hours of work from sketch to final. I utilized some simpler techniques to apply colour and shadow (see full image for "render" passes). Turned out well, IMO. Desert outfit is loosely based on the USMC.

Look away Look Away.
An incomplete doodle in my sketchbook that I decided to colour. Colour also not complete. I decided to go away from my dull dark colours and ended up with a psychosomatic palette.

Mojobear Sketch Mojobear Sketch.
Another Mojo drawing. Pencil, then straight into photoshop. Trying a different visualization technique. Work not finished (fish omitted!).
Sketch >> Photoshop 5.5

Sandford Fleming Water Fountain Sandford Fleming Water Fountain.
Illustration for The Cannon. Not an impressive drawing in its own right, except that the process took under an hour and with no physical concept or sketch.
Illustrator 10

Mojo Burp Mojo Burp.
A favourite little bear of mine in a belch. From sketch to flat illustrator to the more stylized pseudo-three-dimensional artwork.

Big Swords Title Big Swords Title.
A blade render for my main site. Spontaneously designed. All textures were procedural.
3DSMAX R3 >> Photoshop 5.5

Weird Smiley Weird Smiley.
A request by a messageboard friend. I don't know who this guy is, but I think I captured most of his likeness in the smiley. :)
Photoshop 5.5

Reaction Quake 3 Poster Reaction Quake 3 Poster.
Shot containing my first (and only) Q3 player model I never released. Gun models by Cloud. The Chinese characters make no sense together but you can probably guess what they mean.
3DSMAX R2.5, Illustrator 8 >> Photoshop 5.5

Administrator Desktop Background Administrator Desktop Background.
Got bored early on and decided to make a desktop background. Nothing fancy... just playing with Photoshop. The logo is from the Wingdings font.
Photoshop 5.5

Wrong Way Group Shot "Wrong Way" Group Shot.
Group shot of characters from a comic Tony and I were planning to write but never got around to. The characters are heavily inspired by certain games.
Illustrator 8 >> Photoshop 5

TFC Forever TFC Forever.
I loved this game. Spent countless hours playing it. I actually made this for Tony years ago when we were really into TFC.
Screencap + HLMV 1.2 >> Photoshop 5

Faceoff Faceoff.
Vic vs. Tony. Yes, it's inspired from the movie. Don't ask about the guns or the school. Camera work by Kathy.

Action Quake 2 Title Action Quake 2 Title.
Some design practice with my game of the time. I didn't design the skins or models (which are of excellent caliber, btw). Was meant to be a console background.

MMHS 2000 Yearbook Cover MMHS 2000 Yearbook Cover.
The yearbook cover Gabe and I designed for our last year at Milliken. In retrospect, there are many areas for improvement, but it has passed and was an experience.
